Requirements to Rent
What do I need to do to rent a facility at the Walla Walla County Fairgrounds?
1. Download the Facility Use Handbook and read it carefully.
2. Check our calendar for building availability or contact our office at 509-527-3247.
3. Submit a Facility Use Application (see Building and Grounds Rental Forms page) and a $200 deposit to hold your date.
4. Sign contract within 10 days of receiving it via email.
5. Provide copy of security agreement if applicable.
6. Provide copy of banquet or Special Occasion permit if serving alcohol.
7. Provide a copy of your Certificate of Insurance with all required coverages listed.
8. Pay a $600 damage deposit that will be returned to you after the inspection of building following your event and the keys are returned to us.
9. Pay final balance before event.
Insurance
What are the insurance requirements for renting a facility at the Fairgrounds?
Renters must provide Walla Walla County with insurance, as follows:
General Liability Insurance: Renter shall secure combined single limit Commercial General Liability with the following limits of liability:
$1,000,000 Each Occurrence
$2,000,000 Products/Completed Operations Aggregate
$1,000,000 Personal & Advertising Injury
$2,000,000 General Aggregate (Per Event)
$300,000 Damage to Premises Rented to You
$5,000 Medical Payments
$1,000,000 Liquor Liability Each Occurrence – when liquor is being served or is present.
Coverage must include move-in and move-out dates as well as event dates. The minimum mustbe met for each section to be acceptable.
Renters shall ensure Walla Walla County is listed as additional insured, and that the insurance is primary and non-contributory. The Lessee must provide a copy of insurance, which must include a Certificate of Insurance with an endorsement naming Walla Walla County, 314 West Main Street, Walla Walla, WA 99362, as additional insured, a minimum of two weeks prior to the event.
Renters will indemnify Walla Walla County in accordance with current rental agreements.

Security
Who can provide security for my event?
The Walla Walla County Fairgrounds only works with security companies that are licensed and bonded. They must provide us a copy of their license and insurance in order to be able to provide events security. Below are the companies allowed to provide security on our grounds:

Alcohol
Can I serve alcohol at my event?
Yes, you can serve alcohol at your event! Alcohol service must be contracted through Oregon Beverage Services. Contact them at:

Can I serve the alcohol myself?
Only registered 501 (c) 3 non-profits are allowed to serve their own alcohol for fundraising purposes. Private parties must contract with Oregon Beverage Service for service.
